Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose Powdermill?

We have a highly responsive approach, working reliably to agreed deadlines while providing a high quality and cost-effective service to our clients.

Our approach is very simple:

- We turn up when we say we will

- We only take on work we have the skills and capacity to undertake

- We provide accurate estimates or a range of costs, explaining why they might vary

- We discuss and agree a plan and timescale with the customer and work to it.

- We invoice to agreed milestones.

If different skills are required we will either include the right people in our project  team or refer customer to someone suitable

What services does Powdermill offer?

We provide a range of property repair and maintenance services, with particular expertise in high level works, including the provision of fast but safe access for both our own experienced team and for other specialist trades.

With our specialist Mobile Elevated Work Platform ( "MEWP" ), often termed Cherrypickers, we will work closely with other experienced trades people to provide fast but safe access to heights of up to 13.5 metres to ensure they can service their own clients with high level work, whether they be electricians, painters, cleaners or roofing specialists.

How does Powdermill ensure quality?

We have a team of experienced and skilled professionals. We take the time to understand the customers requirements and to plan the work. We ensure the use of high-quality materials while working to the client's budget expectations.

We will also undertake the preparation of works offsite where possible, including for example the full or part-fabrication and finishing of items such as soffitts and facias, prior to installation in order to both ensure quality and to reduce time on site which can be weather dependent.

Where do we provide our services ?

We currently focus on projects in the west of Scotland, primarily in Glasgow and Argyll & Bute.
